Swimming World Magazine speaks to Global Wave's President about optimism, resilience and what comes next.
In an interview with Swimming World Magazine, Dragan Jovanović, President of Global Wave Inc and Head of the World Water Polo Coaches Association, shares his outlook on the sport as communities work through a difficult spring.
Jovanović has worked inside high-performance water polo for more than three decades. He has coached at the Olympic Games, directed national programs on three continents, and co-designed the competition models used today by clubs on both sides of the Atlantic.
"We have never had more coaches, more athletes, or more countries playing the game at a serious level," he told the magazine. "What water polo needs now is a calendar that travels, and a youth pipeline that keeps the best kids falling in love with the sport every summer."
