Dubrovnik
Home of Jug Dubrovnik, one of the winningest clubs on earth. Training at VK Jug's historic pool; the medieval walls on your rest day.
Days across Europe with first-division European clubs — training, scrimmaging and competing, before dinner on the water.
Our dates align with tournament calendars in Croatia, Italy, Montenegro, Greece and Malta so the top local clubs are in town, in form and willing to scrimmage. You will not spend a morning waiting for someone to show up to the pool.
This is not an individual skills camp. Entire squads travel, train together, eat together, play together — coaches, managers, medical staff and, where it makes sense, a travel cohort of parents.
High-school teams, club programs, college and university squads, masters and senior sides. We have built trips for twelve-year-olds and for senior development squads. The constant is intent.
Host cities are chosen for the quality of their water polo and for what they offer off the pool deck. Walking the walls of Dubrovnik, a morning in Diocletian's Palace, a ferry to Korčula — part of how a squad becomes a team.
Home of Jug Dubrovnik, one of the winningest clubs on earth. Training at VK Jug's historic pool; the medieval walls on your rest day.
POŠK and VK Split bring the level; Diocletian's Palace brings the atmosphere. Olympic-class training at the Gripe facility.
Tough Dalmatian programs and a smaller, focused week away from the tourist routes — the best basecamp for a hard-training squad.
Island water polo as it was meant to be played — open seawater, the Adriatic a wall away, in front of locals who understand the sport.
Serie A pedigree on the northern Adriatic, fifteen minutes from Slovenia. A serious entry point to the Italian water polo calendar.
Sicilian water polo runs deep. Warm-water training and a Mediterranean tournament window most North American teams never see.
Budva is the capital of the Montenegrin coast; Kotor a UNESCO bay. Both produce clubs that reach the Champions League every year.
Malta runs a summer season that absorbs top European talent. The Tal-Qroqq national pool is a serious training environment.
Two tournaments, four scrimmages, three city days. A staff of six travels with the team.
Residential camp with a first-division club, two official tournaments, video sessions with host staff.
A concentrated week — arrive Saturday, train Sunday, scrimmages Monday to Friday, fly home Saturday.
Our club travelled for ten days and came back different. The training was world-class, but the stadium atmosphere our athletes played in — that is what they now chase every day in practice.
Global Wave does the unglamorous work brilliantly: visas, transfers, kit, meals, recovery. Our staff could focus on coaching, and our parents could focus on enjoying Europe.
We scrimmaged against a first-division European side on day three. That alone was worth the trip. By the end of the tour our captains were leading warmups in two languages.
The coaches we met in Croatia are still answering my questions a year later. Global Wave built those bridges quietly, and they last.
Tell us the weeks you can travel, the age and level of your squad and what you want them to come home with. We will send back a draft schedule.
